BCDVideo Releases High-Density SAN for Video Storage
SuperNova Series Delivers on Scalability, Reliability, and Price
Northbrook, IL- March 17, 2015, BCDVideo announced the latest technology enhancement to their video storage portfolio with the release of their NetApp-based SuperNova Series of high-redundancy SAN Storage.
“BCDVideo can now deliver an Enterprise SAN storage solution that is simple to deploy and easy to maintain,” says Tom Larson, Director of Sales & Engineering at BCDVideo. “Until now, the surveillance market has yet to see a product available that can provide higher scalability, greater reliability, and better fault tolerance than the SuperNova series can provide, all at a reasonable cost.”
Enterprise systems have always been a daunting task due to the growing data requirements beginning to emerge in the storage field. The cost and maintenance of storage solutions can be expensive, especially when setting up a storage solution for a large scale operation. BCDVideo simplifies this task by offering the complete server, LAN, and SAN package to the integrator. BCDVideo’s tested SAN solution lowers the cost of ownership in what was a heavy cost-laden marketplace.
BCDVideo’s solution is to offer a system with a configurable architecture that is flexible with any storage need. The SuperNova Series offers a high-density (4U) SAN storage system can be scaled modularly to eliminate concerns with ever-growing data and speed. For example, the BCD2760 allows the user to scale out from 40TB all the way to 100PB, so the ability to add cameras and even days/years of retention is never an issue. The unique Dynamic Disk pooling feature, with eight times the restore rate over RAID 6, will allow even greater security protection and retention on the chance of a hard drive failure.
The entire solution is covered by a 5-year global next business day on-site warranty, ensuring the integrator’s investment with professional, trained service available all over the world.
