Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate is part of a team that works together to make sure all warehouse duties are performed.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist with shipping and receiving, unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area; properly staging orders
  • Open large pallets/boxes, allocate the product and break down boxes for recycling
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory
  • Ensure laboratories are filled as completed orders are fulfilled and moved to the shipping department
  • Prepare items for shipment. This includes proper packaging and ensuring all necessary accessories (paperwork, cables, etc.) are included
  • Assisting in the Quality Control process to ensure shipping and receiving accuracy
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness
  • Wear the proper safety equipment
  • Follows company SOP guidelines to properly complete tasks
  • Promote the goals and initiatives of the company
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Good communication, organizational, time management and mathematical skills
  • Dependable and reliable
  • Inventory, data entry and computer skills may be required
  • Forklift experience is a plus

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Regularly required to lift and or move objects 10-50lbs
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to take direction while also being a self-starter
