March 21, Buffalo Grove, IL, USA – BCD’s product portfolio of workstation and server-based video appliances has been certified for cybersecurity by Security Pursuit, a market leader in providing cybersecurity services helping organizations protect their business-critical information systems and data. This certification was based upon weeks of penetration testing trying to identify exploitable vulnerabilities within BCDs system using real-world hacking techniques. The net result was their assessment certifying that BCD appliances are cyber-hardened and in alignment with CIS Standards, which are considered one of the most comprehensive and current frameworks for server builds.

Throughout this process, all aspects of BCD’s security posture were assessed. This includes policies and procedures, training, personnel security, access control, configuration and patch management, vulnerability management, network security, data protection, malware defenses, vendor management, and more. According to the assessment results, BCD has purpose-built its Windows Server 2019 and Windows 10 images to comply with the controls assessed in the CIS Critical Security Controls.

Since its establishment in 1999, BCD has maintained an IT-centric understanding of hardware and server applications. From data encryption to their proprietary supply chain declaration, BCD’s cybersecurity focus is always striving to be one step ahead of the next intrusive system threat. Achieving this certification affirms BCD’s ability to provide businesses with solutions that protect their surveillance systems against potential threats.

In addition to achieving a new level of cybersecurity, BCD’s operations were recently assessed by DQS, Inc. to certify that they meet the ISO 9001:2015 Standards for maintaining high-quality processes. All BCD systems are built in one of our two secure build centers in Buffalo Grove, IL and Fresno, CA. With every system built, tested, and validated by an in-house team of technicians and engineers, security professionals can feel confident knowing their appliances are secured from the inside out.

BCD is deeply committed to providing its customers with secure and reliable services, and this assessment is a significant step toward achieving this goal. In this commitment, BCD is also dedicated to making ongoing adjustments as needed to maintain this accelerated level of cyber protection.
